Contents & Formulation
Each 5 mL suspension contains: Metronidazole (as Benzoate) 125 mg
Indications and Usage
Amoebiasis, urogenital trichomoniasis, nonspecific vaginitis, giardiasis, curative treatment of medico-surgical infections due to susceptible anaerobic pathogens. Prophylaxis against infections caused by susceptible anaerobic pathogens in high risk surgical contents. Conversion from prophylactic or curative inj treatment of infections due to susceptible anaerobic pathogens. For patients w/ clinical evidence of trichomonal infection, treatment of sexual partner should be done.
Dosage & Administration
Childn 5-16.7 mg/kg daily in divided doses for 7-10 days. Taken with meals. Or as prescribed by a physician.
